Since 1952

One of Alaska's Oldest Log Roadhouses

Before the highway was paved, travelers between Anchorage and the Kenai stopped at Gwin's for a hot meal, a warm bed and river news. Seventy years on, the hand-hewn log roadhouse still does exactly that — feeding anglers, hosting weddings, pouring Alaska beers and sending guests off to the water each morning.
